ACTS 17:24
Acts 17:24-31 24 The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. 26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 For in him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own poets have said, We are his offspring. 29 Therefore since we are Gods offspring we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone an image made by human design and skill. 30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. 31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.
Trusting Christ is not merely accepting intellectually that a person named Jesus Christ died on a cross and rose again. It is acknowledging that He alone is my only way to heaven. Trusting Christ is the means through which we appropriate His gift of eternal life. This is the greatest news you could ever give someone. Jesus Christ died for our sins and he will forgive them of every wrong they have ever done. And they can have peace in their souls that they are right with God and that they will be in heaven with the Lord for eternity. This was the greatest act of love when the LORD JESUS CHRIST laid down his life on the cross and declared it is finished
John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
[His love also can be seen is all creation]
We are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone Assurance of salvation is always based on His work, not ours
a. All have sinned (Rom. 3:23)
b. Wages of sin is death (Rom. 6:23)
c. Jesus took our place (John 3:16)
d. Confess your sin (1 John 1:9)
Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and that means I am separated from You, and I deserve Hell. I am sorry for my sin. By Your grace, I want to turn from my sin- all of it- and give You my life. I believe that You died for my sins, and that faith in You is the only way to be saved. I confess that You are the risen Lord and Savior, and I ask You to come into my heart and save me from my sins. Thank You for saving me. Thank You for loving me. Please give me the strength to live my new life for You. I pray this in Your name, Amen.
